  • Are you a member of The Magic Circle?
    Yes, I am a certified member of The Magic Circle. I am also a certified member of Equity, the association for professional performers.
  • How much does a Hampshire Magician cost to hire?
    The cost will depend on a variety of factors, such as the performance requirements, type of show (close-up, stage show or trade show), the location of the venue and the duration of performance. Every performance is planned and priced individually, guaranteeing that you and all of your guests will receive a unique magical experience.
  • Is VAT or any other expense charged on top of your fee?
    No! The fee quoted will be the full amount due. It will include all expenses, with no VAT on top.
  • Do you hold professional indemnity insurance?
    Yes, I have public liability cover for up to £10 million.
  • How do I go about booking you?
    Call me on 07760 900900 or email me at info@colinphillipsmagic.co.uk. When you decide to book me, I will put together a contract for you, setting out exactly what we agreed. The booking will be confirmed as soon as you have signed and returned the contract and paid your deposit.
  • Do I have to pay a deposit ?
    Once the contract has been accepted, I collect a deposit of 25% of the total fee in order to secure the booking. The balance is then due one month before the performance date.
  • How do I/you ensure that we will get the best performance for us?
    After the deposit is paid, I will arrange a face-to-face planning meeting/consultation with you to ensure that we tailor my performance to suit your needs.
  • How far do you travel?
    Most of my work is in London and the south of England: Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey, Kent, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Essex, Berkshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire. I also travel for work all over Europe and the USA.
  • Do you perform at children’s birthday parties?
    I don’t perform for very young children, but I do have a number of children’s magic effects that are suitable for young people from five years old, up to the mid-teens. They love magic and can be a brilliant audience!
  • Can you make my wife/husband disappear?
    No, but I’ve heard of a bloke in Bradford that will do it for £450 cash!
  • Do you know and work with other Magicians in Hampshire?
    Yes, I regularly work with a few very good Magicians in Hampshire and for larger events, i.e. over 150 guests I would always recommend booking a second magician
